The Sunnydaze Hanging Caribbean XL Hammock Chair provides ultimate comfort you can enjoy for hours on end. The spacious 30-40 inch seat is made from soft, tightly woven polyester that is really soft to the touch. The hammock is large enough and hugs the body to allow for a number of comfortable positions. You can adjust yourself to be in a more upright seating positions for reading/writing, curl up in it with a book, or even kick back and stretch your legs out in a more laid-back position.

While some people have bad experiences with older hammocks that have large gaps in the net, this hammock chair has a really nice, tight net spacing so your weight is nicely distributed and you don’t feel like your fingers get caught in it. What’s super nice about theses is that it’s comfortable for my 12 year old nephew as well as his dad who is 6’ 3” and 230!

Durability
You should feel secure while lounging and/or sleeping in the Sunnydaze Hanging Caribbean XL Hammock Chair as it is made with quality materials that will yield enjoyment for years to come. My personal experience echos the overwhelmingly positive reviews on the web regarding this hammock’s durability.

The hammock is made of ⅛” thick soft polyester rope designed to hold up to 300 lbs and withstand weathering. Of course everything will eventually fade and weather if left out in the elements all year for many years, but this hammock seems to hold up particularly well. We bring it in over winter or if we know we won’t use it for months, but it generally stays outside under one of the trees.

Reinforced loop

The wooden spreader bar not only looks really nice, but it also feels really solid. I also really appreciate the metal ‘sleeve’ that reinforces the rope at the loop-end top (image on right). Attention to details like that are what puts this hammock chair at the top of our list.

Sunnydaze Decor backs its products with a 1-year warranty in case you are unlucky enough to get a damaged hammock, but that withstanding… this hammock chair provide many years of enjoyment.

While cotton may be the only choice for some, human-made materials and composites have come a long way and this hammock feels really pleasant even against bare skin. This hammock allows for plenty of positions, whether you want to sit more upright, or laid back with your feet stretched out. The tight, diamond-pattern knit distributes weight really well and does not feel like your skin is bulging through the gaps, like some of the older hammocks did. As it conforms to your body, it’s suitable for kids and adults up to 300 lbs.

Durability
This hammock is definitely made from quality materials and seems to hold up really well to constant use. The Hammock Sky Large Brazilian Hammock Chair combines several features to make it a super comfortable model. For one, this type of hammock (made of a knit fabric) is often preferred over the conventional ones made of rope, although that’s mostly a matter of personal preference. I personally love both types; the rope types allow more airflow, while knit fabrics feel smoother as they distribute the body weight really well.

And although it is not pure cotton, the cotton/polyester blend is of high quality and would be difficult to tell apart from a full cotton material. This hammock chair is also large enough to allow for a number of seating positions. It’s really great for a more lounged/seating position and with  your legs raised or crossed, you can even lay back in it… though it’s not designed for a fully laid down position.

Durability
The Hammock Sky Large Brazilian Hammock Chair is made with high quality materials and a reliable  design. While the spreader bar on this hammock isn’t as eye-catching as some of the others, the wood itself is definitely strong and durable. The hammock is suspended from a single loop-end point that can be hung from an eye hook or other hardware you may use.

The ropes as well as the fabric itself feel really strong and durable and the hammock is rated for up to 300 lbs. As the fabric is a blend of 65% cotton 35% polyester, it combines coziness with durability. That said, it still is largely cotton and while the manufacturer states that it is made for both indoor/outdoor use with “color-fast” cotton, we would not recommend leaving it outside indefinitely as cotton will inevitably be prone to weathering and degrade faster from rain/sun exposure. So, if you want to keep it outdoors, just move it inside before it rains or before the winter season… or if you know you won’t be using it for an extended period of time. Given you take care of it, however, this hammock will hang out with you for years to come!!

Versatility
This hammock chair is really easy to attach, detach, store, or transport. You can easily hang it from trees, patios, ceilings or a “C” stand, and attaching/detaching is a flash if you use a carabiner type clip. This means you can easily remove it if you need the room for something else, or bring it inside to keep from weathering. And, the cool carry bag (made of the same material as the hammock) makes it even easier to take your hammock chair to the park, the beach, or even camping!! Super rad. You can also hand-wash this if you need, just make sure to let it completely dry before storing so it does not mold.

Value

It may be a bit more pricey, but the quality, comfort and style make it a well-worth investment for a product that will actually last a long time. The Sorbus Hanging Rope Hammock Chair one of the best-value hammock chairs on the market. It may not be as high quality as some of the more pricey options, but for the price, it is a really comfortable model. It’s made of a cotton/polyester blend that combines softness with durability, and it comes with two throw pillows for extra comfort and variability. It is not an all-weather hammock, so it is best if used indoors, or if brought inside before inclement weather. This shouldn’t deter you as it’s really quick and easy to attach/detach and move around. Although it is a bit smaller than some other models, the 265 lb capacity is plenty strong to support most kids… and it is especially great for kids. It’s a great addition to outside lounging options, or to give your kids a super fun way to hang out and relax!

Comfort
For the price, this is a pretty comfortable hammock. As a larger person (6’2” and 200 lbs) that likes to stretch my legs out, it is not my favorite… but the majority of people (from online feedback) seem to love it; especially people up to around 5’10” or so. I think part of the issue is that the spreader bar that the hammock hangs from is a bit shorter (appx. 32”) than my other hammock so it makes it feel a bit tighter. Full disclosure though… I’m pretty spoiled when it comes to hammocks :). Additionally, it all depends on preference and what you’re expecting. It is actually pretty nice for sitting and reading… after all it is a hammock chair.

The pillows are loose which is nice because you can shift them around where needed, but they are rather small ( 17”x17”). By the way, a nice pillow is a good investment for any hammock chair and really improves the comfortability of this one too. The material isn’t the softest thing you will find, but it’s plenty cozy for a hammock will likely soften up after time and a washo or two. Kids and smaller adults will really love this hammock chair and it’s hard to nit pick about it for the price it’s offered. Give it a shot, you won’t regret it… at worst you gift it to a smaller friend or child!

Durability
The Sorbus Hanging Rope Hammock Chair seems to be pretty well made… especially for the price. The wooden spreader bar is unfinished but plenty strong to hold up the 265 lb capacity. The hammock is suspended from a single loop-end point that can be attached from an eye hook or similar hardware. The ropes hold up pretty well, and while there is some slight fraying here and there, it’s not at points that would affect the overall strength of the hammock, but it is fraying nevertheless.

The cotton/polyester blend fabric is also holding up but doesn’t seem to be made of as quality of materials as some of the more expensive options. That said, very few people have actually had tears or rips in the material. To ensure its longevity we recommend using it either indoors or on a covered patio to minimize the effects of weathering (mold,fading etc). But hammocks are made to enjoy the outdoors right?? Yes they are… and you can use this one outside as well, just remember to bring it inside before rain, winter, or if you know it will not be used for an extended period of time. Given you take care of it, this hammock will hang out with you for years to come!!

Take good care of it, keep it from weathering… and you will be super happy with your choice!

Bottom Line
This is a great value, low investment hammock chair. Sure, there are fancier options if you want to spend the cash, but this may be the perfect hammock chair for kids and smaller-medium sized adults at an incredible price. Two words: Get Hammocking!
