Best Hammock Chairs Buying Guide
Below we’ve put together a quick guide covering everything you need to know about hammock chairs.
You’ll find information about how to choose the best model, what to look for when buying a hammock chair, and how to take care of your hammock chair.
What is a Hammock Chair?
There are several different types of hammock chairs depending on shape, size, materials and specific use. Sometimes this class of hammocks is also referred to as a hanging chair, a swing chair, a pod chair or even an egg chair. While some of these terms can be used interchangeably, there are some discernible differences between them.
There are essentially two main types of suspended seating elements:
Hammock chairs resemble typical hammocks in their materiality, but they are designed specifically for a comfortable sitting experience.
Hanging Egg Chair
A suspended pod or chair made of a rigid material (wood, bamboo, wicker) with pillows inside for sitting on. Examples are: hanging chairs, swing chairs, pod chairs, hanging egg chairs. Click here If you want to know more about Hanging Chairs (coming soon)
This buyer’s guide is specifically for Hammock Chairs.
Why are hammock chairs a must have??
You can use them both indoors and outdoors and they are a great alternative to other furniture you may be used to. Inside, they can hang from a single hook on the ceiling and some can be easily attached/detached to make room if needed. For instance, they make for a great hanging chair for bedrooms. They are super cozy for reading in, and are much more comfortable over long periods than most chairs or sofas. There is a wonderful feeling of being cradled in a weightless environment. Although hammock chairs are not specifically designed for laying down, they are so comfortable that I find it hard not to doze off in them!
Many people also use them instead of their patio swing as they take up less space, are more comfortable, and (again) can be removed if the space is needed. Most can also be used outside and, unlike regular hammocks, these hammock chairs only need one tree branch or a stand to hang from. What’s really great is that hammock chairs are much more affordable than most outdoor furniture.
Some hammock chairs are so easy to attach/detach that many people take them along to the beach, or camping, or just to the park!
Prices range from as little as $25 for a pretty great model, to around $70+ for some deeeelux versions. More on cost later!
Ok, so now that we’ve sold you on the awesomeness of hammock chairs, let’s talk about how to choose the best hammock chairs on the market!
What to Consider When Buying a Hammock Chair
Here are a few things to keep in mind when deciding which hammock chair to purchase. You’ll want to think about each factor and how important it is to you.
The reason hammocks are such a great value is because they provide comfort and versatility with a relatively small amount of materials and manufacturing costs. Think of how many of those crappy, uncomfortable, $40 folding canvas lawn chairs are broken after a season and tossed in the landfill. While there are a few luxury hammocks for sale in the $140 range, you can find a quality, comfortable hammock chair between $25 and $70.
First off, you will want to be sure to purchase a high quality and well regarded brand hammock that stands behind their products. There may be super cheap hammocks, but they end up costing more in the long run if you have to purchase a new one every few years.
When choosing your price range you have to consider how you will use your hammocks—how often, where, and in what conditions. An indoor hammock in a guestroom will likely see less wear and tear than an outdoor hammock chair that you want to leave outside year round, and take with you to the park or beach on occasions.
With this in mind, find a price range that’s comfortable for you and dive into our reviews; we’ve included the top products over every price range and we’re sure you’ll find the right hammock for you.
Strength / Capacity
This is one aspect that you don’t want to skimp on. Whatever type of hammock you are buying you want to insure that it is well-made and that it will support the expected weight of the intended user! Quality materials and construction are essential for a safe and long-lasting hammock chair. Most hammock chairs are either made from polyester-coated rope, a cotton blend, reinforced cotton, or some type of woven fabric. (More on material choices below). You can consider it money well spent by purchasing a hammock that is constructed with the best materials and a brand that stands behind their workmanship.
The hammocks included in our reviews are all from well-trusted brands that are known to build the strongest and most reliable hammocks on the market.
This should be obvious, but worth considering. What do you actually intend to use the hammock chair for? Is it going in your kid’s bedroom for their use only? Is it going on your porch, in your back yard? Are you willing to bring in the hammock before winter and/or long periods of rain, or do you just want to hang it from a tree and forget about it? Do you want to option of taking it with you on a car-camping trip or to the beach? The answers to these will inform you which hammock chair is right for you.
Since hammock chairs are normally left in one place, weight is less of a concern than it is with camping hammocks. That said, if you do plan on taking your hammock chair out to the beach, park, or even camping… you should choose one that is not super heavy and has hardware suitable for quick attachment/detachment.
Most hammock chairs are intended for a single user, and they are designed to form to your body, so the sizes don’t vary drastically. That said, there are some dimension and design differences and some are certainly more comfortable than others if you are a larger adult.
In today’s age you’re likely going to be purchasing your hammock online. It’s always a good idea to check the seller’s return policy before making a purchase. Amazon.com is an excellent choice because they almost always include generous return policies. PLUS, choosing products on Amazon.com is great because of the helpful ratings and reviews on almost all products.
Although we’ve made a point to only review hammocks that are high quality and well-regarded, it’s always a good idea to be sure that the manufacturer stands behind their products. As a rule-of-thumb, a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty seems to be the standard for quality products and we do not recommend buying a hammock with anything less than that.
Hammock Chair Materials
Material choices are important for two key reasons.
1) Weather resistance: Most natural materials like cotton, fabric, or denim will fade faster, be more prone to molding, and will take longer to dry out after rain events. That should not necessarily be a deterrent, just something to keep in mind.
There are several hammocks that are made with a blend of materials that offer both weather resistance and comfort
2) Comfort: You’ll be sitting in the hammock chair and want to make sure you are super cozy! This is more of a personal option as some people prefer the traditional hammock made from polyester or cotton rope woven into a ‘net’ pattern… while others prefer a Brazilian-style hammock that is essentially made of a cotton sheet material.
Ultimately the material of the hammock plays a key role its comfort, feel, durability and weight. Here is an overview of different camping hammock materials:
Cotton and other ‘natural’ fabrics
Hammock chairs can be made from cotton rope or cotton fabric. Some people swear by cotton as it is a natural material and feels very soft on bare skin. As mentioned before, the downside to cotton is that it absorbs water, can mold if not protected, and is less resistant to weathering. Really great option for inside use, or even on a patio.
Polyester is often used alone or as a coating over other fabrics. High quality hammocks made from polyester are often as (or even more) soft and cozy as their cotton counterparts. And as mentioned, polyester is much more weather resistant so it will last a lot longer and is more suited for outdoor use.
Choose the Best Hammock Chair
The increased popularity of hammock chairs has resulted in a large selection of hammocks on the market. This large selection can be overwhelming which is part of the reason for this website!
A good starting point is to think about how/where you will use your hammock chair.
Is it for indoor use only? Or will it be left outdoors all the time? Do you want to be able to take it with you to the park or beach etc? You can also decide to stay within a certain price range and look for additional features (materials, color, style) within your price category.
It’s important to note here that all 10 hammocks we chose are excellent options, so don’t think of it as a list from best to worst; it’s really a list of the 10 best hammock chairs. This means that we’re confident you’ll be happy with any of the options on the list. So the specific choice really comes down to your preference between some of the differing characteristics. So really the question is which one is the best hammock chair for you?
We rounded up the most popular and best hammock chair models and wrote in-depth reviews to provide the ultimate comparison guide to help you choose the right product. We’ve evaluated each product for comfort, durability, versatility, and value.
Comfort. Clearly, one of the most important factors of a great hammock chair is comfort. After all, whether you’re reading a favorite book in your room or hanging out under a tree by the beach, you want to relax and be comfortable when you use your hammock. The two most important factors that make a high quality hammock comfortable are the fabric and design. Our top 10 suggestions are all quality designs, so these factors are mostly personal preference on material type and specific design
Durability. Durability is super important in the overall value of any product, and this is just as true with hammock chairs. The last thing you want is a flimsy hammock that deteriorates after a single season, or even worse… one that breaks while you are using it! If you are planning on using your hammock year-after-year, especially if it stays outside in the elements, durability is of prime importance.
With proper care and maintenance, a quality hammock chair with strong seams, ropes, cross bar and durable fabric will last for many many years. We’ve only included the 10 best hammock chairs on the market in our reviews because we want to assure you that you’ll be investing your hard-earned cash on a quality product.
Versatility. This is also an important factor and not all hammocks are created equal in versatility. A hammock chair than you can use in a number of places / situations adds to its overall value. For instance, the ability to use a hammock chair inside and outside, or to be able to attach/detach it quickly so you can take it with you to the park or beach makes some models super versatile.
Value. Price can be deceiving and we all know that the cheapest product is not always the best… and often ends up costing more in the long run. On the other hand a really expensive product may simply owe its price tag to abstract concepts like trends or branding. Value is the balance between price and quality. While all of the hammock chairs we review are top quality products, we rate each one based on its value by researching and comparing what you pay to what you get. It is generally true that the more pricey products are just made better, but there are a number of really good hammock options that are affordable and have good quality… a hallmark of good value!

One of the most popular models on the market, and our personal favorite, is the Sunnydaze Hanging Caribbean XL Hammock Chair. It is well-built, super versatile and absolutely comfortable to lounge in. This hammock chair is made of a soft polyester tightly woven rope which is both really soft to the touch and weather resistant, meaning you can use it indoors and outdoors! It’s also really easy to attach/detach giving you the versatility to move it around or even take it with you to the park or beach. Oh, and it is available in a variety of really great colors to perfectly suit your style. So go ahead and enjoy the nice days outside under a tree, or cozy up indoors with your favorite book… and try not to doze off! Get hammocking!

Material: soft polyester tightly woven rope
Hammock Size: 70” L x 47″ W x 48″ H (appx)
Seat Width: Appx 30″-40″
Other size: 47″ spreader bar
Weight Limit: 300 lb
Manufacturer Warranty: 1 year
The Sunnydaze Hanging Caribbean XL Hammock Chair provides ultimate comfort you can enjoy for hours on end. The spacious 30-40 inch seat is made from soft, tightly woven polyester that is really soft to the touch. The hammock is large enough and hugs the body to allow for a number of comfortable positions. You can adjust yourself to be in a more upright seating positions for reading/writing, curl up in it with a book, or even kick back and stretch your legs out in a more laid-back position.
While some people have bad experiences with older hammocks that have large gaps in the net, this hammock chair has a really nice, tight net spacing so your weight is nicely distributed and you don’t feel like your fingers get caught in it. What’s super nice about theses is that it’s comfortable for my 12 year old nephew as well as his dad who is 6’ 3” and 230!
You should feel secure while lounging and/or sleeping in the Sunnydaze Hanging Caribbean XL Hammock Chair as it is made with quality materials that will yield enjoyment for years to come. My personal experience echos the overwhelmingly positive reviews on the web regarding this hammock’s durability.
The hammock is made of ⅛” thick soft polyester rope designed to hold up to 300 lbs and withstand weathering. Of course everything will eventually fade and weather if left out in the elements all year for many years, but this hammock seems to hold up particularly well. We bring it in over winter or if we know we won’t use it for months, but it generally stays outside under one of the trees.
The wooden spreader bar not only looks really nice, but it also feels really solid. I also really appreciate the metal ‘sleeve’ that reinforces the rope at the loop-end top (image on right). Attention to details like that are what puts this hammock chair at the top of our list.
Sunnydaze Decor backs its products with a 1-year warranty in case you are unlucky enough to get a damaged hammock, but that withstanding… this hammock chair provide many years of enjoyment.
The other characteristic that we absolutely love about this hammock chair is its versatility. As already mentioned, the materials used allow it to be used both indoors and outdoors. The loop-end top allows it to be easily suspended from trees, patios, porches, or a “C” stand, and with an easy carabiner type clip you can attach/detach it in just a few seconds. This means you can remove it if you need the room for something else, and because the hammock chair is fairly light, you can even take it with you to a park or beach. (Click here for general mounting instructions). One other nice thing is that the rope part can be taken off the spreader bar in case you feel the need to wash the hammock chair. Considering that some washers may be too rough on the rope as well as the metal sleeve, we would suggest hand washing it instead.
At $60, the Sunnydaze Hanging Caribbean XL Hammock Chair is a bit more pricey than some of the less expensive models, but considering that it is our top pick, we believe that it is worth spending a little extra money for a quality product that will last a long time. And compared to those cheap, flimsy patio chairs that only last a year or two, these are more comfortable and durable at a comparable price tag.
You seriously will not regret buying the Sunnydaze Hanging Caribbean XL Hammock Chair Whether you’ll be swinging under a tree in your backyard or taking it to the beach, or simply curled up in it with a good book… you will be in pure bliss. Get Hammocking!
Krazy Outdoors Mayan Hammock Chair
The Krazy Outdoors Mayan Hammock Chair is a highly praised hammock made of all natural materials for extra coziness! Beyond its high comfort factor, it is also really versatile and built with long lasting quality in mind. This hammock is made of 100% cotton rope woven with a diamond-pattern resembling the traditional Mayan style. While cotton may be a bit more prone to weathering than its polyester versions, many people prefer it due to its natural materiality. The ease of attachment/detachment will not only make it easy to bring indoors during adverse weather, but it also allows you to take it to the beach or the park! It comes in either a natural white or a pleasant mocha color. So go ahead and enjoy the nice days outside under a tree, or cozy up indoors with your favorite book… and try not to doze off! Material: 100% COTTON
Hammock Size: 75″ L x 37″ W x 47″ H (appx)
Seat Width: Appx 30″-40″
Other size: 40″ spreader bar
Weight Limit: 300 lb
Manufacturer Warranty: 1 year
The soft 100% cotton and perfect size makes the Krazy Outdoors Mayan Hammock Chair an incredible comfortable option. While human-made materials and composites have come a long way, many people still swear by cotton, and it’s true… this hammock feels really pleasant even against bare skin. Measuring 75” long, 39” wide and 47”high, this hammock allows for plenty of positions, whether you want to sit more upright, or laid back with your feet stretched out. The tight, diamond-pattern knit distributes weight really well and does not feel like your skin is bulging through the gaps, like some of the older hammocks did. As it conforms to your body, it’s suitable for kids and adults up to 300 lbs.
This hammock is definitely made from quality materials and seems to hold up really well to constant use. The spreader bar is a beautifully varnished solid piece of wood with an elegant glossy dark finish, and it is definitely plenty strong to support the lounger. The hammock is suspended from a metal-reinforced loop-end to protect the rope from the friction of the attachment point.
While most people prefer a 100% cotton item (including us), it does come at the cost of durability. As opposed to human-made materials, cotton will inevitably stay wet longer, have the potential to mold if it stays damp, and will also fade and degrade faster from sun exposure. This doesn’t really matter if the hammock stays indoors, but if it’s for outdoor use… we recommend moving it inside before rains or the winter season. As it’s really easy to attach/detach the hammock, this shouldn’t really be a problem, but an issue worth considering.
If you’d rather go with a weather-resistant version of this, take a look at our editor’s pick, the Sunnydaze Hanging Caribbean XL Hammock Chair. But if you prefer cotton, this hammock will be perfect for you and Krazy Outdoors offers a 1-year warranty just to be safe.
The Krazy Outdoors Mayan Hammock Chair is really versatile as it can be quickly attached/removed from your patio, ceiling, a tree, or a “C” stand, especially if you use an easy carabiner type clip. Combined with it’s light weight, this means it’s easy to move from one place to another, and really great if you want to take it with you to the park or the beach or on a camping trip! If needed, the hammock can also be hand washed from time to time, but make sure to let it completely dry before storing so it does not mold/rot.
The Krazy Outdoors Mayan Hammock Chair is around $50, which is bit more expensive than some other models, but we think it’s well worth the money considering the comfort and durability of this hammock. It’s a great investment that will last a long time if well taken care of, and it sure beats buying yet another cheap patio chair that will inevitably break again next season!
This is a super comfy, 100% cotton, very durable hammock chair perfect for napping, reading, or just ‘hanging’ out at the the beach. If you love cotton and know how to keep it looking new (protect it from the elements), you will love this hammock chair!
Hammock Sky Large Brazilian Hammock Chair
The Hammock Sky Large Brazilian Hammock Chair is one of the most popular Brazilian-style hammock chairs on the market for a good reason: comfort, style and cozy-factor! Instead of the rope-style hammocks, Brazilian hammocks are made of a knit fabric.
This hammock chair is made of a really great cotton/polyester blend that combines the super soft feel of cotton with the durability and flexibility of polyester. While the cotton makes it more prone to weathering, as long as it’s not left outside indefinitely, the material will hold up really well to regular use. And since it’s really easy to attach/detach, you can just move it inside during inclement weather. It comes in two vibrant color combinations as well as a really nice carry bag.
So, whether you are in your room, on the patio, in your backyard, or at the beach, you will treat yourself to the dreamy feeling of being weightless!

Material: 65% cotton 35% polyester
Hammock Size: 54″ L x 40″ W (appx)
Seat Width: Appx 30″-40″
Other size: 45″ spreader bar
Weight Limit: 300 lb
Manufacturer Warranty: 1 year
The Hammock Sky Large Brazilian Hammock Chair combines several features to make it a super comfortable model. For one, this type of hammock (made of a knit fabric) is often preferred over the conventional ones made of rope, although that’s mostly a matter of personal preference. I personally love both types; the rope types allow more airflow, while knit fabrics feel smoother as they distribute the body weight really well.
And although it is not pure cotton, the cotton/polyester blend is of high quality and would be difficult to tell apart from a full cotton material. This hammock chair is also large enough to allow for a number of seating positions. It’s really great for a more lounged/seating position and with your legs raised or crossed, you can even lay back in it… though it’s not designed for a fully laid down position.
The Hammock Sky Large Brazilian Hammock Chair is made with high quality materials and a reliable design. While the spreader bar on this hammock isn’t as eye-catching as some of the others, the wood itself is definitely strong and durable. The hammock is suspended from a single loop-end point that can be hung from an eye hook or other hardware you may use.
The ropes as well as the fabric itself feel really strong and durable and the hammock is rated for up to 300 lbs. As the fabric is a blend of 65% cotton 35% polyester, it combines coziness with durability. That said, it still is largely cotton and while the manufacturer states that it is made for both indoor/outdoor use with “color-fast” cotton, we would not recommend leaving it outside indefinitely as cotton will inevitably be prone to weathering and degrade faster from rain/sun exposure. So, if you want to keep it outdoors, just move it inside before it rains or before the winter season… or if you know you won’t be using it for an extended period of time. Given you take care of it, however, this hammock will hang out with you for years to come!!
This hammock chair is really easy to attach, detach, store, or transport. You can easily hang it from trees, patios, ceilings or a “C” stand, and attaching/detaching is a flash if you use a carabiner type clip. (Click here for general mounting instructions). This means you can easily remove it if you need the room for something else, or bring it inside to keep from weathering. And, the cool carry bag (made of the same material as the hammock) makes it even easier to take your hammock chair to the park, the beach, or even camping!! Super rad. You can also hand-wash this if you need, just make sure to let it completely dry before storing so it does not mold.
At $50, the Hammock Sky Large Brazilian Hammock Chair is one of the best values for a Brazilian-style hammock chair. It may be a bit more pricey, but the quality, comfort and style make it a well-worth investment for a product that will actually last a long time. And compared to those cheap, flimsy patio chairs that only last a year or two, these are more comfortable and durable at a comparable price tag.
If you prefer Brazilian-style hammocks, you will seriously love this hammock chair. Whether you’ll be swinging under a tree in your backyard or taking it to the beach, or simply curled up in it with a good book… you will be in pure weightless bliss. Get Hammocking!
Editor’s Rating = 4/5
The Sorbus Hanging Rope Hammock Chair one of the best-value hammock chairs on the market. It may not be as high quality as some of the more pricey options, but for the price, it is a really comfortable model. It’s made of a cotton/polyester blend that combines softness with durability, and it comes with two throw pillows for extra comfort and variability. It is not an all-weather hammock, so it is best if used indoors, or if brought inside before inclement weather. This shouldn’t deter you as it’s really quick and easy to attach/detach and move around. Although it is a bit smaller than some other models, the 265 lb capacity is plenty strong to support most kids… and it is especially great for kids. It’s a great addition to outside lounging options, or to give your kids a super fun way to hang out and relax!
Specks and Ratings
Material: cotton / polyester blend
Hammock Size: 50″ L x 40″ W (appx)
Seat Width: Appx 30″-40″
Other size: 32″ spreader bar
Weight Limit: 265 lb
Manufacturer Warranty: 1 year
For the price, this is a pretty comfortable hammock. As a larger person (6’2” and 200 lbs) that likes to stretch my legs out, it is not my favorite… but the majority of people (from online feedback) seem to love it; especially people up to around 5’10” or so. I think part of the issue is that the spreader bar that the hammock hangs from is a bit shorter (appx. 32”) than my other hammock so it makes it feel a bit tighter. Full disclosure though… I’m pretty spoiled when it comes to hammocks :). Additionally, it all depends on preference and what you’re expecting. It is actually pretty nice for sitting and reading… after all it is a hammock chair.
The pillows are loose which is nice because you can shift them around where needed, but they are rather small ( 17”x17”). By the way, a nice pillow is a good investment for any hammock chair and really improves the comfortability of this one too. The material isn’t the softest thing you will find, but it’s plenty cozy for a hammock will likely soften up after time and a washo or two. Kids and smaller adults will really love this hammock chair and it’s hard to nit pick about it for the price it’s offered. Give it a shot, you won’t regret it… at worst you gift it to a smaller friend or child!
The Sorbus Hanging Rope Hammock Chair seems to be pretty well made… especially for the price. The wooden spreader bar is unfinished but plenty strong to hold up the 265 lb capacity. The hammock is suspended from a single loop-end point that can be attached from an eye hook or similar hardware. The ropes hold up pretty well, and while there is some slight fraying here and there, it’s not at points that would affect the overall strength of the hammock, but it is fraying nevertheless.
The cotton/polyester blend fabric is also holding up but doesn’t seem to be made of as quality of materials as some of the more expensive options. That said, very few people have actually had tears or rips in the material. To ensure its longevity we recommend using it either indoors or on a covered patio to minimize the effects of weathering (mold, fading etc). But hammocks are made to enjoy the outdoors right?? Yes they are… and you can use this one outside as well, just remember to bring it inside before rain, winter, or if you know it will not be used for an extended period of time. Given you take care of it, this hammock will hang out with you for years to come!!
As with other hammock chairs, this one is also very easy to attach, detach, store and transport. Whether you want to hang it from a tree, your patio, in the bedroom, or from a “C” stand, attaching/detaching is a flash… especially with the use of a carabiner type clip. (Click here for general mounting instructions). This means you can move it around or store it if you need the room for something else, and bring it indoors with easy to protect it from weathering. It also allows you to take it with you to the beach, the park or even on a camping trip. Can be used with or without the included pillows, and it can also be washed… although we recommend hand washing to protect the fabric from harsh washing machines.
The Sorbus Hanging Rope Hammock Chair is not the most durable or comfortable option out there, but at $28 a piece (including 2 throw pillows) it is an awesome value. And compared to those cheap, flimsy patio chairs that only last a year or two, these are more comfortable and durable at a comparable price tag. Take good care of it, keep it from weathering… and you will be super happy with your choice!
This is a great value, low investment hammock chair. Sure, there are fancier options if you want to spend the cash, but this may be the perfect hammock chair for kids and smaller-medium sized adults at an incredible price. Two words: Get Hammocking!
Hammock Chair Gear
There is a lot of hammock gear on the market to choose from and you’ll want to make sure you choose products compatible with the size of your hammock. It often makes sense to purchase gear that is manufactured by the same brand to insure proper fit and compatibility.
Here is a quick review of different types of hammock gear you can outfit your hammock chair with:
In case you don’t want to hang your hammock chair from your ceiling or from a tree, there is also the option of buying a dedicated stand to hang it from.
These stands are made of sturdy metal and allow the hammock chair to rotate around 360 degrees. Check out our buyers guide and reviews of hammock stands! (coming soon)
Speaks for itself! There’s nothing worse than chilling on your hammock chair and having to get up to grab your drink… or having it spill on you in the hammock!
This drink holder comes to the rescue by holding one standard size drink container. Cheers!
If having your drink nearby isn’t enough, this item lets you safely keep a book, tablet, pens, journal etc nearby.
It is made of durable nylon and attaches via 2 metal clasps. It accommodates normal size cups and up to 7 x 9 inch tablets.
Another solution for your hammock enjoyment is this hammock table. You can keep a few drinks, phone, a book… whatever you need at an arm’s reach.
This weatherproof table simply pokes straight into the ground and can also be easily carried with a handy grip.
Some hammocks come with everything you need to hang them. Some require a few pieces of hardware depending on where you are hanging it from. You’ll find most of what you need at any hardware store, or you can buy mounting hardware along with your hammock chair.
Hammock chairs are super comfortable as they are, but a nice hammock pillow can only make them even more cozy! If you consider buying a conventional hammock (for laying on) you will definitely want to buy a few of these.
What’s Best? Hammock Chair vs. Hanging Chair
So you basically want a chair that hangs right? Hammock chairs and hanging hammocks are both great options but there are a few differences.
Hammock chairs are a lot more versatile: you can hang them inside and outside, you can attach and remove them with ease and you can take them along to a park or beach. Hanging chairs, on the other hand, are typically heavier and bulkier and would be much more difficult to move around or store away.
In terms of cost, hammock chairs range from $25 – $80, whereas hanging chair types can range from $100-$400.
Both are really comfortable and the design differences between them depend on your preference. Hammock chairs will ‘hug’ you quite a bit more just like normal hammocks do, whereas hanging chairs feel more like sitting on a soft cushion or couch that is suspended from a solid frame.
Finally, when it comes to style and design, hammock chairs are pretty cool, but some hanging chairs are incredibly beautiful and stylish so if you want to make a statement and use this as decoration… go with a hanging chair!
